Day 16: Yorgos in Downtown Lancaster

31 Days of Decks in Central PA

Day 16

There’s a solid chance you’ve navigated toward Yorgos in downtown Lancaster as part of your late-night routine. The weekend dance parties downstairs and the recently launched Wednesday night live music series have long provided entertainment-seekers of all ages ample opportunity to have a good time.

But sometimes, a night of dancing calls for a breath of fresh air. Or maybe you just want a seat outdoors during happy hour. The sidewalk area outside Yorgos has you covered on both fronts. With seating for 20, you’ll have a front-row seat for all the action on N. Queen St. – perfect for First Friday people watching (with a beer in hand, of course). Happy hour goes down from 5-7 p.m. on Monday through Friday, with $5 craft drafts, $5 bombs, $5 wines by the glass and $5 select appetizers.

Whether you’re simply grabbing a quick breather from the dance floor, having a smoke or indulging in a cool summer evening, the sidewalk at Yorgos is a high-profile spot in the middle of all the action downtown.

Follow Fly’s 31 Days of Decks all month long for info on where and what to eat and drink outside in Central PA.
