Corn & Cask: Sweet Arrow Wine Trail this weekend

There’s one large noticeable difference between the new Sweet Arrow Wine Trail and the region’s other wine trails. It is, by comparison, tiny. As PA’s first micro trail, it is comprised of just three wineries – Cassel Vineyards in Hershey, CrossWinds Winery in Hummelstown and Spring Gate Vineyard in Harrisburg – each stationed within about ten minutes of each other. You can definitely make a day of visiting and vino. This weekend, the vineyards are joining forces to bring you a really corny weekend.

(That’s the only corn pun in this article. Promise.)

If you want to check out the wine trail this Sunday, start off at Spring Gate. From 12-2 p.m., they’re having a la carte grilled corn on the cob – a buck per ear. CrossWinds picks up the standard from 2-4 p.m., also offering grilled corn. Finally, hit up Cassel from 4-6 p.m. for steamed corn and a corn hole tournament. (Practice your aim at Spring Gate, they’ll have a corn hole setup as well… but the tournament is a Cassel-only event.)
