Central PA SuperChef challenge returns to Hershey

Hollywood has championed the superhero, but now it’s time to shine light on the marvelous culinary prowess possessed by the many fantastic chefs in the region.

Enter the Central PA SuperChef event, which takes place September 4 at The Hershey Lodge. Now in its fourth year, the cooking challenge pits the midstate’s top fine-dining chefs against each other as each looks to flex its culinary muscles and create prize-winning dishes.

This year’s bout features chefs from Bricco, Café Fresco (Center City), The Garlic Poet, Harmony Hall, the soon-to-open Harvest Seasonal Grill & Wine Bar, The Hershey Lodge, Home 231 and What If… The participating chefs are evaluated by a panel of celebrity judges along with guests of the event based on the presentation, taste and creativity of their entrees and desserts.

Two SuperChef winners will be selected – one in the entrée category and one in the dessert category – and earn the title of Central Pennsylvania SuperChef and have their name and the name of their respective restaurants will be featured on billboards throughout the region.

Central PA SuperChef takes place at the Hershey Lodge (325 University Drive, Hershey) on September 4 from 6-9 p.m. Proceeds from the event benefit the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. General admission tickets to attend the event are available for $60 until August 29. Group tickets are also on sale until August 22. Click here to purchase tickets.
