Harrisburg-based brewers have been making epic beers for years, but some of the Burg’s best brewers and their beers have gone from starring in pint glasses to starring on the big screen. Brewed in the Burg – the feature-length documentary about the Capitol City’s passion for craft beer produced by Sara Bozich and GK Visuals – takes you behind the beer with exclusive interviews with local brewers like John and Chris Trogner of Troegs, Al Kominski of Pizza Boy Brewing Co., Artie Tafoya of Applachian Brewing Co and others on the Harrisburg beer scene. The film debuted during last year’s Harrisburg Beer Week, and has since screened at a few local bars and cinemas. If you haven’t seen Brewed in the Burg yet, don’t worry, you’ll soon be able to watch the hop-doc from the comfort of your couch when it airs statewide on PCN later this month and again in February. Warning: You will develop a serious thirst while watching this film – we suggest you line your fridge with your favorite Harrisburg craft beers well in advance.
Brewed in the Burg airs on PCN on January 31 at 5 p.m. and February 21 at 5 p.m.
