Marietta pubs have got the blues. They’ve got the low-down beer, live music, lawn games and food specials blues. It’s probably the best kind of blues you could have. The 2015 Marietta Blues Festival and Pub Crawl takes place this Saturday, October 10, from 3-9 p.m.
Make your way to Marietta, where the blues was born along the banks of the Susquehanna River (pretty sure that’s the history of the blues) and visit a half-dozen bars and restaurants during this year’s event. This year’s participating venues are Shank’s Tavern, River Street Cafe, McCleary’s Public House, The Railroad House, Perry Street Cellar and Nick’s Bistro. There’s food and drink specials including special pricing on Coors Light and Blue Moon and live music at each stop plus yard games at the Railroad House during the afternoon.
The music lineup features a handful of local acts, including Bob Noble & Blue Voodoo, Corty Byron and Friends, Towson Steele Solution with Mark Boyd and Ric Emery. Don’t suffer the boring weekend blues this weekend. Head out to Marietta and party.
