Begin a New Story in 2016

It’s 2016 and if you decided you need to try something new this year take a look at the local Story Slam events held at Tellus360 in Lancaster at Tellus360 and at the Holy Hound Taproom in York. Whether you have a great story you want to share on stage or are just looking for a fun way to spend a night, both the Lancaster and York Story Slams begin their 2016 season this month. Everyone has a great story to tell, and if you need a little assistance working up the courage to tell it in front of an audience, there’s every storyteller’s best friend: beer.

Get inspired with the latest Lancaster Story Slam podcast, which is all about “Heroes.” The episode features three stories from the November 2015 Grand Slam event, including the winning story by Cliff Lewis, in which Lewis regales us with the hilarious tale of his schoolyard rap battle with his nemesis Retro G Funk and the importance of pretending.

The first-ever York Story Slam takes place on January 19 at the Holy Hound Taproom and the theme is “New Beginnings.” See the dates and themes for the entire year of York Story Slam events here.

The Lancaster Story Slam takes place on January 26 at Tellus360. The theme of the first event is “Resolutions.” See the dates and themes for the whole year here.

Do you have a great story? We want to hear it!
