Beef, beer and bacon take center stage at John Wright Restaurant

Beef, Beer and Bacon – perhaps mankind’s three greatest accomplishments (shout out to cows and pigs). Wrightsville’s John Wright Restaurant celebrates this tasty triumvirate with a Beef, Beer and Bacon dinner tonight at 6:30 p.m., offering three courses of awesomeness with the likes a baconator slider; beef, beer and bacon chili; applewood smoked brisket with bacon; and chocolate-covered bacon torte with dried cherry compote. The entire menu is paired with Appalachian Brewing Co. beers.

Hey wait, where are you going? The dinner doesn’t start until 6:30 and I’m not done yet.

A beef, beer and bacon-ified menu isn’t the only thing that makes this dinner so great. The event is in support of Leukemia and Lymphoma Society Man of the Year candidate Zach Gross – a food sales rep for the John Gross Company. The John Wright Restaurant has a history with the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society Man of the Year campaign; JWR director of operations Jim Switzenberg was named the LLS Man of the Year in 2013.

Tickets to the dinner are $50 with a portion of the proceeds benefiting the LLS. A dinner of beef, beer and bacon and it’s in support of a great cause? Everybody wins.
