With all this golf talk these days, it’s only fitting that a bar crawl should emerge to put a bow on the week. On Sunday, Lancaster-based events promoted Barrel O’ Monkeys Productions – known for the annual Bad Prom bar crawl – will unleash a new charity crawl on Lancaster City’s Plum Street corridor. The Keep It Classy ‘Murica Bar Crawl invites participants to don their classiest golf outfit (time to dust off those skorts, ladies) as you make your way from bar to bar. (Per the event’s title, you are alternately encouraged to dress as a “super ‘Murican.” Whatever outfit direction you choose, just make sure you go all-out; the event description alludes to prizes for the best-dressed…)
The event tees off at American Bar & Grill at 1 p.m. Participating bars include Plum Street denizens ABAG, 915 Cafe and Rumplebrewskins as well as just-off-Plum Street locations Stubby’s Bar & Grille and Lancaster Brewing Co.
The crawl requires a $10 participation fee, but per usual for Barrel O’ Monkeys events, the proceeds will all go to a local charity. The Keep It Classy crawl will benefit an emergency medical fund for service industry workers, so if you are in the industry and have Sunday’s off, this should be in serious consideration for Sunday Funday.
