A Pair of Oyster and Beer Pairings In Lancaster

Two craft beer and oyster pairings are happening in Lancaster. One tonight and another tomorrow. With a high of 70 degrees and a low of 59 degrees tonight, it’s unseasonably warm. Consider it the sunny season’s (super-belated) very last hurrah. If you’re craving a little bit of summer as we fall into the wintry half of the year, hit up Hunger-N-Thirst in Lancaster tonight, November 5, from 5-9 p.m.

There, Chef Mick Kalata, founder of Lancaster City Oyster Co., will be putting his skills as a master oyster shucker to work. If you happen to get thirsty while you’re partaking, no worries: As everyone knows, the saltiness of oysters blends very well with beer. And as luck would have it Hunger-N-Thirst also hosts a Free Will tap takeover during the event. Unfortunately, it’s probably going to be a little too cloudy to pretend you’re at the beach, but you can always just wear sunglasses.

Oysters and a Free Will tap takeover tonight!

Want to keep the oyster-and-beer pairings going? You can’t pair oysters and beer any closer than with an Oyster Stout. Join Wacker Brewing Company (417 W. Grant St. in Lancaster) for their Oyster Stout Tapping Party, which takes place tomorrow beginning at 5 p.m. Wacker releases their Oyster Stout – a collaborative effort with the Lancaster City Oyster Co. during the event which also features $2 oysters, a souvenir pint glass to the first 25 people, live music and more.

Reminder that the Oyster Stout Tapping Party is this Friday. We’ll have live music starting at 6pm courtesy Ben & Joe,…
