3 on 3: Dark Star, James Bond & a wine dinner

1) Dark Star Orchestra at the Pullo Center (York)

Don’t have the extra $938 (that’s the average ticket price according to the New York Times) to attend the Dead’s Fare Thee Well Chicago shows this July 4th weekend? Get your dose of the Dead with Dark Star Orchestra – the Dead cover band that provides an authentic Grateful Dead concert experience – tonight at the Pullo Center in York. 2) GoldenEye 007 Retro Game Night at Susquehanna Ale House 22 (Harrisburg)

Unleash your inner 7th-grader tonight during Susquehanna Ale House 22’s weekly Tuesday night retro game competition. Tonight’s featured game is the 1997 Nintendo 64 Pierce Brosnan-era James Bond classic GoldenEye 007. Stalk your enemies with your Walther PPK on one of two 50-inch big screen TVs. The winner receives a $50 gift card. Sign-up by 9:30 p.m. Yuengling drafts are $2, but we suggest you go all in on 007 and order your martinis “shaken, not stirred.” (We’re sure the bartender will get a huge kick out of that…)

3) Thorn Hill wine dinner at The Log Cabin (Leola)

Ok, maybe standing in a crowd of stoned hippies or video game-playing overgrown teenagers isn’t your thing. You’re sophisticated. Join The Log Cabin in Leola for its Thorn Hill Vineyards wine dinner starting at 6 p.m.. The menu features an exquisite mix of mouth-watering dishes, including Halibut in a champagne butter sauce, breast of duck, and a poached pear and blueberry tart (check the full menu here). Tickets are $80. Call 717-625-2142 for reservations.
